Brickell is the Financial District of Downtown Miami. With a high concentration of international banks and financial institutions as well as international consulates, Brickell is the epicenter of commerce to the Americas. Historically, Brickell was known as Millionaire’s Row because of the lavish waterfront mansions that lined Brickell Avenue. Over time, the mansions were replaced by businesses and condo buildings, and today Brickell is home to the largest concentration of residential condominium towers in South Florida. Brickell condos are known for their luxurious, state-of-the-art amenities, sweeping bay views, and excellent walkability to restaurants and local businesses. Brickell condos such as Jade Brickell, Santa Maria, Asia and Icon Brickell are some of Miami’s premiere residential towers, soon to be joined by stunning new projects like Millecento, Echo Brickell, and SLS Brickell Residences. Brickell Key, a man-made island off the northern edge of Brickell in Biscayne Bay, is a small enclave of luxury condos and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Spa. Brickell has excellent proximity to transportation, great restaurants and shopping options. Brickell Citi Center, currently under construction, will feature designer retail through an arrangement with the world famous Bal Harbour Shops, while the always busy Mary Brickell Village offers dozens of dining and shopping options. Brickell is also convenient to beaches and the Arts and Entertainment district of Downtown Miami, anchored by the American Airlines Arena and The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
